VOOPOO PnP X Replacement Coils | 7 Resistances

PnP X is the coil platform behind VOOPOO's current 60W–80W pod mods. Seven resistances run from a wide-open 0.15Ω mesh build for direct-lung clouds down to a dedicated 1.0Ω MTL coil for nicotine salts. Sold singly or in a 5-pack.

Highlights

  • Seven resistances, 0.15Ω through 1.0Ω — DTL, RDL and MTL all covered
  • Mesh-distributed heating with VOOPOO's thermo-stable cotton, rated to 160°C
  • Drop-in install — the coil presses into a PnP X pod, no screw thread
  • Goes in PnP X pods, not the original PnP pods
  • Buy a single coil or a 5-pack

CoilWattage rangeDraw
0.15Ω 60–80W Direct-lung
0.2Ω 40–60W Direct-lung
0.3Ω 32–40W Direct-lung / restricted direct-lung
0.45Ω 25–32W Restricted direct-lung
0.6Ω 18–23W Mouth-to-lung / restricted direct-lung
0.8Ω 12–16W Mouth-to-lung
1.0Ω MTL 10–13W Mouth-to-lung

Wattage ranges are VOOPOO's own ratings, printed on each coil. Staying inside the range is most of what coil life comes down to.

Which devices these fit

Any VOOPOO device running a PnP X pod: the Argus PRO 2, Drag X2, Drag S2, Drag X3, and the PnP X versions of the Doric and Argus lines.

Match the coil to the pod, not to the device name. PnP X coils are physically larger than the original PnP coils and only seat in a PnP X pod — if your kit shipped with an original PnP pod, the older PnP coils are what you want. The quick check: a PnP X pod is marked "PnP X" on the body.

Picking a resistance

Work backwards from your juice. Nicotine salts at 25 mg or above want the 0.8Ω or 1.0Ω MTL — they run cool and tight, sip battery, and do not flood you with vapor. Regular 3 mg or 6 mg freebase in a high-VG blend wants 0.3Ω or lower, where the coil has the wattage to actually work.

The 0.45Ω and 0.6Ω are the two most people land on long term. They are warm enough to taste, tight enough to be discreet, and they do not empty a tank in an afternoon.

Making a coil last

Prime it: drip a few drops onto the exposed cotton ports before you seat the coil, fill the pod, then leave it ten minutes. Start at the bottom of the printed wattage range for the first tank and work up. Refill before the pod runs low rather than after — almost every "bad coil" is a coil that got run dry once.

One to two weeks is normal. High-wattage builds wear faster than the MTL coils, and dark, sweetened juice gunks any of them early.

Why buy PnP X coils from Central Vapors

We stock all seven resistances, and we sell singles as well as 5-packs so you can try a resistance before you buy five of it. Central Vapors has been filling vape orders since 2013, and every order is backed by our satisfaction guarantee.

PnP X coils — common questions

Q

Which devices do PnP X coils fit?

Any device using a PnP X pod — Argus PRO 2, Drag X2, Drag S2, Drag X3, and the PnP X versions of the Doric line.

Q

Are PnP X coils the same as PnP coils?

No. PnP X is the newer, larger platform. They look similar but the pods differ, so match the coil to your pod generation rather than to the device's name.

Q

Which coil should I use for nicotine salts?

The 0.8Ω at 12–16W or the 1.0Ω MTL at 10–13W. Those are the two tightest, coolest builds in the range and the standard pick for salts.

Q

Which coil gives the biggest clouds?

The 0.15Ω, rated 60–80W. You need a device that can actually reach that ceiling and a high-VG juice to keep up with it.

Q

How long should a coil last?

One to two weeks with regular use. Prime new coils and stay inside the printed wattage range; high-wattage builds and heavily sweetened juice both shorten it.

For use by adults 21+.

Questions & Answers

QWhy so many coil versions, and how should I choose?

Central Vapors Team · Jun 27, 2026

AIt's one coil family in several resistances so it suits different setups — all fit the same tank. Go lower-ohm (~0.2–0.4Ω) for high-wattage, warm, direct-lung clouds, or higher-ohm (~0.8Ω+) for a cooler, tighter mouth-to-lung draw and longer battery life. Pick the resistance for your style, stay in its wattage range, and confirm it's the exact coil your device uses. — Central Vapors

QWhat are the steps to break in a new coil?

Central Vapors Team · Jun 27, 2026

APrime it: a few drops of juice on the exposed cotton, install, fill, and wait 5–10 minutes. Pull a couple of primer puffs with the device off (or at low power) to wick liquid in, then start vaping at the lower end of the wattage range. Refill before it runs dry. — Central Vapors

QWhat makes a coil taste burnt, and how do I avoid it?

Central Vapors Team · Jun 27, 2026

ABurnt taste comes from cotton heated while dry. Avoid it by priming (drops on the wicking holes plus a few minutes to soak after filling), starting at lower wattage, and never vaping with the juice below the wick ports. Once cotton is truly scorched it stays burnt, so prime every new coil properly. — Central Vapors

QWhat resistances do PnP-X coils come in?

Central Vapors Team · Jun 27, 2026

A0.15Ω, 0.2Ω, 0.3Ω, and 0.6Ω mesh options, covering DTL, RDL, and MTL styles. — Central Vapors

QWhich devices use VOOPOO PnP-X coils?

Central Vapors Team · Jun 27, 2026

APnP-X coils fit the newer PnP-X platform — the VOOPOO Argus Pro 2, Drag X2, Drag S2, and the PnP-X versions of the Drag X and Drag S. Note: these are PnP-X coils, which are different from the original PnP coils used by older Drag/Argus devices. — Central Vapors

Have used the same 0.3 and 1.0 pods daily for a week, the 1.0 throughout the day to save battery life and the 0.3 for taste at night, and the 0.3 still tastes as good as day one and the 1.0 conserves my battery life nicely.
