FAQ

Q
Will these fit my SMOK TFV8 tank?
Only if it's a Baby-series tank — see the compatibility list above. The original full-size TFV8 tank uses a different, larger V8 coil, so check your tank's exact model before ordering.
Q
Which coil should I pick?
Match it to how you vape: Mesh or T8 for maximum cloud and the fastest heat-up, X4 or M2 for a more balanced flavor-forward draw, and the 0.6Ω Q2 if you vape at lower wattage.
Q
Do I need to prime a new coil before using it?
Yes. Apply a few drops of e-liquid directly to the exposed wicking holes and let the coil sit for 5-10 minutes before your first vape. Firing a dry coil can scorch the wick immediately.
Q
How long does a coil last?
It depends on your e-liquid and how often you vape — sweeter, high-VG juice tends to gunk up a coil faster than cleaner recipes. A burnt or muted flavor is the signal it's time to swap it out.

Sold as a single coil or in a 5-pack. For use by adults 21+.

Questions & Answers

QHow do I know which coil resistance to buy?

Central Vapors Team · Jun 27, 2026

AMatch it to how you vape. Higher wattage and big, warm direct-lung clouds → go lower resistance (about 0.2–0.4Ω). A tight mouth-to-lung draw, cooler vapor, and longer battery life → go higher resistance (about 0.8–1.2Ω). They all fit the same tank, so pick your style and stay in the recommended wattage range. Confirm the coil family matches your exact device. — Central Vapors

QDo I need to prime a new pod or coil, and how?

Central Vapors Team · Jun 27, 2026

AYes — priming prevents dry, burnt first hits. Add 3–5 drops of e-liquid directly onto the coil's cotton, fill the pod or tank, and let it sit several minutes before vaping. Low-power primer puffs speed it along. Always refill before the level gets low. — Central Vapors

QHow do I stop a new coil from tasting burnt?

Central Vapors Team · Jun 27, 2026

ATwo things cause it — a dry wick and too much power. Saturate the wick first (a few drops on the cotton holes, then a 5–10 minute soak after filling), vape at the lower end of the coil's range and adjust up, and refill before the tank gets low so the cotton stays wet and can't scorch. — Central Vapors

QAre these sub-ohm coils for direct-lung vaping?

Central Vapors Team · Jun 27, 2026

AYes — the TFV8 Baby coil series is built for sub-ohm direct-lung (DTL) vaping at higher wattages, so use them with sub-ohm-capable devices. — Central Vapors

QWhich tank do these TFV8 Baby Beast coils fit?

Central Vapors Team · Jun 27, 2026

AThey're designed for the SMOK TFV8 Baby Beast tank (and kits that use the Baby Beast tank). The series includes several sub-ohm builds tuned for big flavor and clouds. — Central Vapors

I love being able to get my coils for a reasonable price. Theres nothing worse than having to pay retail price for my coils. I sincerely appreciate the convenience and the price. Thank you Raven for always being sweet and knowledgeable when I call.

I have switched to smok! I use to be faithful to kanger but the coils dont last long. Baby beast coils from smok get me a VERY LONG 3-4 weeks! Love these coils!

  • Fits Cerebus tanks.

Posted by Michael Cast on May 13th 2025

The Cerebus tanks have been discontinued. Pity. Great little tanks. Small tank, big results. Thank goodness these coils are compatible. These coils are easy to replace, and the flavor lasts a long time. I run a 200 watt Aegis, run on low wattage. The V8 lasts a long time.

  • received wrong coils

Posted by Richard Skog on Nov 9th 2024

I ordered Q2 0.6ohm coils 5pack x4 and all 20 coils were Q2 0.4ohm instead. Fortunately that's not a deal breaker. I prefer the 0.6, but the higher resistance coils are much less popular, and I've bought 0.4 in the past when 0.6 isn't available. Even 0.4 is considered high resistance by a lot of vape users. I'm disappointed that I didn't get what I ordered. I also got a new mod and batteries in this order, and those did match what I ordered. I'll still use them, not looking for a return. But if you're like me and still using more than 0.2ohm, be aware, we are a minority and treated as such.
