Key Specs

Liquid Salt Nicotine – 250mg/ml Concentrated Nic Salt Base

DIY concentrated salt nicotine at 250mg/ml on a 100% VG base. Nic salts let you mix your own ultra-smooth vape juice even at higher nicotine strengths, with far less throat-hit harshness than freebase at the same mg. It is a concentrate — dilute it with PG, VG, and flavor to your target strength.

Highlights

  • 250mg/ml concentrated salt nicotine, 100% VG base
  • Smoother at high strength — less harsh throat hit than freebase
  • FEMA/GRAS-grade ingredients
  • Mixes with the same math as freebase nicotine
  • Available in 50ml, 120ml, 250ml, and 1000ml
  • For dilution only — not intended to be vaped on its own

What Is Nicotine Salt?

Despite the name, nic salt is not table salt. It is a modified form of nicotine, converted from its freebase form to an acidic one through a specific chemical process. The practical result for mixers: it stays smooth at higher nicotine strengths that would be harsh in freebase form, so you can run a higher mg without the rough throat hit. Prefer freebase? See our 100mg liquid nicotine.

Nic Salt vs Freebase

Nic Salt Freebase
  • Smoother throat hit at high mg
  • Stays smooth at higher strengths
  • Great for pods & low-wattage
  • Less vapor
  • Harsher as the mg climbs
  • Bigger clouds
  • Suits most vape styles & sub-ohm
  • More vapor

Devices & Suggested Strength

Salt nicotine is most often mixed for pod systems and low-wattage devices, where a higher mg stays smooth. At a low mg it can also work in a sub-ohm setup. As a starting point:

  • Low-wattage / pod: suggested 10mg–50mg finished strength
  • Sub-ohm: suggested 1mg–25mg finished strength

How to Mix It

This 250mg/ml concentrate is meant to be diluted with PG, VG, and flavor concentrate — it is not intended to be vaped on its own. The mixing math is the same as freebase, so run your recipe through our e-juice calculator. New to strengths? See how to choose a nicotine strength.

Salt Nicotine FAQs

Q

What strength is this salt nicotine?

It is a 250mg/ml concentrate on a 100% VG base. You dilute it with PG, VG, and flavor down to your finished target strength.

Q

How is salt nicotine different from freebase?

Nic salt is an acidic, modified form of nicotine that stays smoother at higher strengths. Freebase nicotine tends to get harsh as the mg climbs.

Q

Can I vape it straight from the bottle?

No. At 250mg/ml it is far too concentrated — it must be diluted with PG, VG, and flavor to a usable strength before vaping.

Q

Which devices is it usually mixed for?

Mostly pod and low-wattage devices (around 10–50mg finished). At low strength (1–25mg) it can also be mixed for sub-ohm setups.

For use by adults 21+. Contains nicotine. Nicotine is an addictive chemical.

Bulk sizes are final sale. The 120ml and 250ml bottles cannot be returned or exchanged.

Questions & Answers

QHi, I'm planning to mix my own e-liquid and wanted to ask about your Salt Nic Concentrate. Would it be suitable for mixing a final strength of 3-6mg for use in a 1 ohm pod system? Or would freebase nicotine be a better option for this setup? Any recommendations on base ratios (PG/VG) or mixing tips would also be appreciated. Thank you!

Anonymous · Jul 21, 2026

AFor a 1 ohm pod at 3-6mg final strength, either works, but this Liquid SALT Nicotine base is the one I'd point you to. Salt nic stays smoother at strength and suits pod systems, so if you ever want to bump up past 6mg it won't get harsh the way freebase can. That said, at 3-6mg the difference is subtle — freebase is perfectly fine there too, mostly a bit more throat hit. On the math: this is a 250mg/ml concentrate on a 100% VG base, and it mixes with the same math as freebase. To hit 6mg in a 30ml batch, that's roughly 0.72ml of concentrate; for 3mg, about 0.36ml. Since it's 100% VG, count that toward your VG total when you're balancing the ratio. For a 1 ohm pod, a 50PG/50VG standard is the safe pick — it wicks well and gives good flavor and throat hit in a smaller coil. If you want a touch more throat hit you can go 70PG/30VG. Add flavor per your concentrate's recommended percentage, and let it steep a few days before judging the taste. If you want help dialing in a specific recipe, email info@centralvapors.com. — cameron

QShould I get freebase or salt nicotine?

Central Vapors Team · Jun 27, 2026

APick by device. Nicotine salts are smooth even at high strength, ideal for small, low-wattage pod kits (25–50mg is common). Freebase has a firmer throat hit and is meant for sub-ohm tanks and mods, typically at lower strengths (0–18mg). Small pod = salts; tank or mod = freebase. — Central Vapors

QHow do I pick the right nicotine level?

Central Vapors Team · Jun 27, 2026

AMatch it to your setup. High-vapor sub-ohm devices usually call for lower strengths (0–6mg) so it isn't overwhelming; compact MTL pods do well with 6–18mg or salts. Start where you think you'll land and adjust — down if it's harsh, up if it doesn't satisfy. 0mg is available if you want nicotine-free. — Central Vapors

QHow do I use it?

Central Vapors Team · Jun 27, 2026

AYou blend it into your own e-liquid flavors to reach your target nicotine level. Because it's a high-strength concentrate, measure and handle it carefully when mixing — it's intended for experienced DIY mixers. — Central Vapors

QWhat is this nicotine salt concentrate used for?

Central Vapors Team · Jun 27, 2026

AIt's a concentrated DIY nicotine salt (250mg strength) for mixing your own nicotine vape juice. Nic salts give a smoother throat hit than freebase nicotine, even at higher strengths. — Central Vapors

  • No Complaints

Posted by Daniel on Sep 3rd 2024

Mixed several batches already up to 30mg/ml and have noticed zero issues. Very smooth and no taste at all. I was worried at first because it was darker than expected, but it turned out great.

  • Bad peanut butter off taste for 250mg/ml. 250ml bottle.

Posted by Tom on Jun 12th 2024

I waited a 45 days to write this review because I was hoping that the off note would steep out. I've been mixing e-liquid for 7 years and I've purchased freebase and salt base nic from many places including: Liquid Barn, Nude, River supply among others. I had high hopes for this nic because it isn't easy to find reputable companies to purchase it from. I got a 250ml bottle of 250mg/ml at a very reasonable price. The only way I can describe it is it isn't flavorless like all other nic I've ever had. It has a very off putting scent and that made me nervous because if you can smell it than chances are that you will taste it as well. It's almost like a bad peanut butter concentrate. Ive used it in a few different recipes and it totally ruins them. I really don't like to leave bad reviews and I would like central to be my permanent nic retailer. But if I can't use it, it is worthless to me.

Love the nice salt concentrate liquid but hate the signature on delivery charge. I would buy more stuff from central vapors if there was no added charges to my order. Signature on delivery charge is a total rip off.

  • Smoothest that I have tried

  • Fresh and smooth

This is the 3rd time I've order salt nic from CV and it's in good shape. I like the fact that I can get it in small quantities as I'm a mtler, small cloud kind of person. If I had to order a gallon, most of that would go bad. If you can, order it when the weather is cold as the mail system isn't climate controlled and nic goes bad faster the hotter it gets.

  • 250mg/ml salt nic. Best. EVER.

Posted by Alan Martin on Mar 2nd 2024

I have had many brands of salt nicotine, some low as 100mg/ml. This stuff is the smoothest salt I've ever used. It's almost like you think there's not enough nic in there until you exhale. Lol. Fantastic product, well priced, all around ☆☆☆☆☆
