SMOK Nord GT Pod System

smok nord gt pod kit

The SMOK Nord GT is an 80W starter pod kit that packs a 2500mAh battery into something that still fits in your pocket. A step-less airflow ring lets you dial in anything from a tight restricted-lung pull to a wide-open direct-lung draw, and the 5ml side-fill pod runs SMOK's press-fit RPM 3 coils. A 0.96″ screen keeps your wattage and coil resistance in view, and USB Type-C gets you back to full quickly.

New to the Nord GT? The pod ships with a 0.23Ω RPM 3 coil built for direct-lung clouds. If you want a tighter, more restricted draw, open a lower wattage coil from the RPM 3 range and back the airflow ring down.

FAQ

Q
What's the difference between the RDL and DTL settings?
It comes down to the airflow ring. Open it up for DTL (direct to lung) — a wide, airy draw straight to the lungs at higher wattage. Close it down for RDL (restricted direct lung) — a slightly tighter pull that still goes to the lungs but with more resistance. The ring is step-less, so you can land anywhere between the two.
Q
Which coils fit the Nord GT?
SMOK's RPM 3 series. They're press-fit into the pod, so swapping is quick — no threading. The kit includes two 0.23Ω coils to start, and the rest of the RPM 3 range covers everything from big clouds to a tighter mouth-to-lung style.
Q
How do I fill it and prime a new coil?
Lift the side-fill plug and top off the 5ml pod. When you drop in a fresh coil, put a couple of drops of e-liquid on the wicking holes and let it sit 5–10 minutes before your first pull so the cotton fully soaks. Firing a dry coil scorches the wick.
Q
How do I change the wattage?
The Nord GT runs 5–80W with adjustable wattage. Use the buttons to step the power up or down, and watch the 0.96″ screen for your current setting. As a rule of thumb, lower-resistance coils want more wattage and higher-resistance coils want less — start low and work up until the draw feels right.

For use by adults 21+. Battery and e-liquid sold separately where noted.

Questions & Answers

QHow long should I let a new coil sit before vaping?

Central Vapors Team · Jun 27, 2026

AAbout 5–10 minutes after filling, so the cotton fully saturates — and drip a few drops onto the wicking holes first to jump-start it. Take the first few puffs at low wattage. Letting it soak is what keeps a fresh coil from tasting scorched. — Central Vapors

QNew coil already tastes burnt — how do I fix it?

Central Vapors Team · Jun 27, 2026

AIf it's burnt from the very first puff, the cotton likely got fired before it soaked. Next time: drip juice onto the wicking holes, fill, and wait about 10 minutes before vaping; keep wattage modest at first; and top up before it runs low. A coil that was dry-hit hard usually can't be recovered — fit a fresh one. — Central Vapors

QWhat are the Nord GT's battery and power specs?

Central Vapors Team · Jun 27, 2026

AA large built-in 2500mAh battery with up to 80W output. — Central Vapors

QWhat coils does the SMOK Nord GT use?

Central Vapors Team · Jun 27, 2026

AThe Nord GT uses SMOK's RPM 3 coil series in a 5ml refillable pod, supporting both RDL and DTL styles with step-less adjustable airflow. — Central Vapors

  • First time having a pod

The adjustable airflow is great on this pod. With digital display and variable wattage is great. Also like that it tells you how long you have until full charge. For me, the pod allows better taste in ejuice compared to tank.

  • It does its job, but....

Posted by Scott Gruhler on Jan 17th 2025

When you remove tank to fill, vape resets to 65W. I bought 2, both do it. Pretty dumb and you get a throat burn every time if you forget to change it to your desired setting. Other than that, they are fine. I won't buy again though.
