Kanger EVOD - Bottom Coil Clearomizer Tank Clone

 

The generic EVOD features a permanent mouthpiece which is transparent and has a liquid capacity of about 1.7ml. The EVOD Bottom Coil Clearomizer is a unique tank with a replaceable bottom coil system and inexpensive replacement coil heads.

 

The conveniently designed Kanger EVOD has a removable metal bottom, this allows you to simply replace the coil head rather than buying a new clearomizer. Another unique design advantage of the EVOD is that when your coil needs replacing and your tank is full of your favorite e-juice, its easily replaced. Simple turn your EVOD upside down to loosen the bottom ring and insert a replacement EVOD coil without having to empty the tank!

    Do not care for this tip, cant get rid of the plastic taste. Takes away from the flavor.

    UPDATE: I kept using the one tank that worked. Suddenly, after 9 mils went through I got a foul tasting vape. Went back to an original using the same juice, all was OK. On close inspection I believe the plastic chimney in the clone degraded and I was vaping plastic! This with a juice I've used in original Kanger Evods for years, no plastic cracking. The original Kangers have metal chimneys.

    I've been using genuine Kanger Evod tanks for years. Ordered 8 of these clones. Came with silica wicks so I discarded that and used a genuine Kanger cotton coil. First one worked OK. Second one I could not get the coil in. Turns out the chimmney is about 1mm smaller than originals. I tested the remaining tanks. All were smaller than standard. The shaft of the replacement coils may or may not fit into the chimney. If may fit so tight you can't get it back out again. So the tank is useless with replacement coils. Of the 8 tanks I received, only 2 can by used, 6 are worthless.

    I really like these except for the way you have to fill them. I almost always unscrew the wrong fitting and end up with vape juice all over my hands.

    These work well at first then some did some didn't. Big hint, if it stops working or seems to only work with one battery and not another check to see if the stem is loose. Tighten stem and it will work just fine.
